These terms apply when you use Metrier, an iOS wellness app published by Metrier. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The short version
- Metrier shows you your own health measurements and explains them. It is not a medical device and cannot diagnose, treat or monitor any condition.
- There is no account and no sign-up. The app is tied to your device.
- Metrier Pro is an optional subscription billed by Apple, not by us.
- Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
- Your health data stays on your phone. What little leaves it is described in the Privacy Policy.
Metrier is not a medical device
This is the most important term here. Metrier is a wellness and fitness product. It is not a medical device, it has not been reviewed or cleared by any medical regulator, and nothing it shows you is a diagnosis, a treatment, or medical advice.
Scores such as Recovery, Strain, Sleep, Stress, Energy Reserve and Biological Age are estimates calculated from measurements produced by consumer wearables. Those measurements carry error, and the estimates built on them carry more. They are intended to help you notice patterns in your own data over time, not to tell you whether you are ill.
Do not use Metrier to make a decision about your health that you would otherwise take to a clinician. If you feel unwell, or if a reading concerns you, contact a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something this app showed you.
Using Metrier
Metrier has no user accounts, so there is nothing to register and no password to lose. The app runs on your device and stores your data there.
You need to be old enough to hold an Apple Account in your country to install the app, and Metrier is not designed for or directed at children under 16. Google Gemini answers in Metrier Pro are only for people aged 18 and over.
You are responsible for the connections you authorise — Google Health, Apple Health, Strava — and you can revoke any of them at any time, from inside Metrier or from that service directly.
Metrier Pro and payment
Metrier is free to use. Metrier Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks additional features; the app names them on the purchase screen before you buy.
- United States pricing: In the US storefront, Metrier Pro is offered at $7.99/month (billed monthly, no free trial) or $39.99/year (billed annually). Eligible new annual subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, then $39.99/year unless cancelled. In other territories, localized prices and introductory offer eligibility are set and shown by Apple before purchase.
- Apple takes the payment, not us. Purchases are made through your Apple Account under Apple’s terms. We never see or hold your card details.
- The price and billing period shown in the app at the moment of purchase are the ones that apply, in your own currency.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Where an introductory free trial is offered, eligibility is determined by Apple per subscription group. You may cancel at any time during the free trial without charge up to 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription where applicable.
- We may change prices for future periods. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and you will be notified before any price change takes effect.
Some features described on the purchase screen depend on services outside our control, including your wearable provider. If such a service becomes unavailable, the affected feature may change or stop working.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel at any time in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Metrier. We cannot issue, approve or refuse a refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. That right is exercised through Apple as the seller, using the same link.
Your data
How Metrier handles your health data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: your health record is stored on your device, and Metrier keeps no copy of it on a server.
Deleting the app removes its local database and cached history from your device. However, removing Metrier does not delete records previously saved to Apple Health or Google Health, or backups you exported. Manage those records directly in their respective services. Disconnect providers in Metrier before deleting the app if you wish to clear local cache and revoke connection credentials. Export an encrypted backup first if you want to keep your Metrier history. Export is free and always will be — it is not a paid feature.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app, use it to build a competing product, resell access to it, or use it in any way that breaks the law.
Availability and changes
Metrier is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and features may be added, changed or removed as the product develops. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, you may cancel and Apple’s refund process is available to you.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and material changes will be signalled in the app or by email where we have an address for you.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Metrier is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-excludable rights as a consumer under Danish and EU law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
